Trailer Released for “The Mummy” Directed by Lee Cronin

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, the official trailer for the remake of The Mummy has been unveiled. Lee Cronin, known for directing Evil Dead Rise, helmed the project for New Line Cinema.
Jack Reynor stars as a husband and father who encounters sinister supernatural forces. The film follows the story of a journalist’s young daughter who disappears in the desert without a trace. Eight years later, she suddenly returns to her family — but the reunion soon turns into a nightmare.
The cast also includes Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Verónica Falcón. Jason Blum serves as a producer alongside Cronin. The crew includes cinematographer Dave Garbett, production designer Nick Bassett, editor Brian Shaw, costume designer Joanna Eatwell, and composer Stephen McKeon.
Mummies first entered cinema in the 1930s when Universal Pictures produced The Mummy starring Boris Karloff. The studio later generated major box-office hits in the 1990s featuring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. However, the most recent installment, The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, was both a critical and commercial disappointment. Universal has recently confirmed production on another film starring Fraser and Weisz.
Reynor is best known for Midsommar directed by Ari Aster. His other credits include Detroit directed by Kathryn Bigelow, the action-comedy Free Fire starring Cillian Murphy and Brie Larson, and Transformers: Age of Extinction directed by Michael Bay.
